 While just a small part of the American West, The Mojave Desert and Owens Valley comprise one of the most diverse geological regions in the world.  While Lapis from Afghanistan and Malachite from the Congo are exquisite, so is much of what is waiting to be found in our own backyard.  At All Picked Up you get stones with stories, as the hunt for gems is always colored with history, people, varied terrain, and memorable localities.  There's never a dull moment on a well-planned rockhounding excursion.
